Pathetic Happening
PATHETIC HAPPENING is a read and performed version of the entirety of Pathetic Literature (edited by Eileen Myles) from Grove Press, a nearly 700 page volume of poets and fiction writers and playwrights and nonfiction from all over the world, and all eras. This event — conceived and curated by Tom Cole and Eileen Myles with ten guest curators: queer theorist Jack Halberstam, performer and poet Ama Birch, poet and curator Mary Reilly, the indelible poet Will Farris, British poet and memoirist Sophie Robinson, performer and curator Lucy Sexton, poet and birdist Marcella Durand, lead singer of Speedy Ortiz and poet Sadie Dupuis and dance curator Sangeeta Yesley along with choreographer Yoshiko Chuma — is an afternoon and evening devoted to enacting literature in all its dimensionality. I’ll be reading Moyra Davey’s essay early in the day.

“Is There Gender Equality in the Digital Art World?” Niio Editorial, by Roxanne Vardi and Pau Waelder
“Is There Gender Equality in the Digital Art World?”
A conversation with Dagmar Schürrer, Snow Yunxue Fu, Marina Zurkow, Claudia Larcher, Alexandra Crouwers, Tamiko Thiel, Claudia Hart, Sasha Stiles, Yuge Zhou, and Chun Hua Catherine Dong.
The brilliant Marina Zurkow mentions Laura in Niio Editorial.
"The number of brilliant, inspiring feminist video artists is staggering. Please don’t forget pioneers Adrian Piper, Yoko Ono, Howardena Pindell, Shigeko Kubota, and the following waves of the likes of Laura Parnes, Elisabeth Subrin, Mika Rottenberg, tackling very different aspects of life through a feminist lens."

New Yorkers hailed the prosecution last night “Wonderful”.
While out celebrating with video art legends Cecilia Dougherty and Phyllis Baldino on the evening Trump was indicted for sexual abuse, we were interviewed by Karin Eriksson for Dagens Nyheter.

Jim Fletcher on Screen (Blood and Guts in High School and Tour Without End)
Thrilled to be part of this celebration of the brilliant actor Jim Fletcher at Anthology Film Archives. See link for tickets. “His screen appearances encompass video experiments by theater artists such as Richard Maxwell and Tim Etchells (of U.K. theater group Forced Entertainment), documentaries like Shaun Irons's STANDING BY: GATZ BACKSTAGE, and collaborations with film and video artists including Laura Parnes, Ellen Cantor, Tony Oursler, and Zoe Beloff. Presented in conjunction with special screenings of two of Fletcher’s most recent moving-image projects – New Red Order’s NEVER SETTLE: THE PROGRAM and Adam Khalil, Bayley Sweitzer, and Anton Vidokle’s A I O U – this film series further reveals Fletcher’s Venn-diagram-like ability to draw together different constellations of artists, communities, and creative approaches.”
